CNY dinner with JW's family on Sunday (10th Feb) at Ah Yat Abalone Hunnan Restaurant (Turf City)

I was terribly exhausted by then as a result of all the visiting throughout the week.

This week was worse as I had to stay up till about 1-2am to finish up some work. I was so tired by the end of the week that I spent the whole of Saturday in Slumberland. Oh, and I have work to be completed before Monday as well. How exciting.

The boy wore an orange coloured Nike shirt today. The shirt says "I am an addict."

Given that the shade bears a striking resemblance to that of mandarin oranges (and it sure didn't help that he held two mandarin oranges in his hand when he stepped into my house), I think a more appropriate phrase would be "I am an orange.", so I kept making fun of him the entire day. Coincidentally, the word 'orange' is made up of the same number of letters as the word 'addict'. Hahaha...I know you must think I'm really bored.

Visited the grandmas today. Never knew that it would be so mentally and physically draining just to listen to 3 people talk for an hour each.

Just when I thought I could have a good rest on my bed, my mum had to wake me just to ask if I was having dinner at home. Sigh. I can't go back to sleep when I am awakened prematurely. That explains why I am blogging now.

I have other things to do, like work, but geez, work is a sure dampener to the festive spirit. I'm not touching it till Sunday!!

It's a wonder how the boy is never awakened by anything...he has been sleeping for about 2+ to 3 hours now!! I threw a little tantrum, switched on the light, snatched the blanket from him, but yet he remains deep in slumber.

Sleeping probably ranks 2nd on his priority list, after rockclimbing. I, on the other hand, come in third place I think. *whinewhinewhine*.

BIG SIGH.

Shall try getting back to sleep now...ugh.

I love my bed.

Happy Chinese New Year! May the year of the rat bring you good health, wealth and success!

I don't have many relatives in Singapore (phew!), so we were done with visiting in just half a day. JW & I are visiting the grandmothers (all 4 of them? If not probably 3 of them) again tomorrow. :)

The grandmothers really attest to the fact that women do have longer life expectancies as they have all outlived their husbands. I hope that doesn't happen to me cos I want to spend my remaining days with JW!! :(

My skin's really sensitive lately, so I've been going out without foundation/powder for the past month. I'll probably stop using foundation for good because it clogs up my pores regardless of how thorough my cleansing routine is.

Me with concealer, blusher and fake eyelashes. Too lazy to curl my lashes and put on mascara.

My maternal grandma prefers me with my side fringe. She said my bangs are too thick, and she couldn't recognize me just now!! Geez...I guess her age plays a part. She's already 95 years old this year ;). No pics of her though, but I'll probably take some photos tomorrow.

I still like my bangs. :P

As I was walking down to my maternal grandma's apartment, I spotted a cosy area outside someone's home. I love the unique horizontal grills and the way the money plant entwines around it. The little pots of plants, coupled with the wooden chair, create a very rustic ambience.

If you click on the photo to expand it to its full size, you'll realize that the door mat has a very Victorian design. It's remarkably exquisite and practical too, cos it's made of rubber. I absolutely adore it!!!

If anyone knows where to get the mat, please let me know. I'll be eternally grateful!! :)

Getting married young, that's what I thought JW & I were doing. Interestingly, this doesn't seem to be the case, at least not where my social circle is concerned.

I have friends my age who have already given birth, or have just gotten pregnant! Haha..I can't imagine myself looking after a baby at my age. Not when I still look and behave like a kid myself. :P

Looking at JW and myself, I can't help but think we will look like two kids getting married on our wedding day. Hahaha.

I often joke that our guests (especially distant relatives like perhaps his uncle's grandnephew's niece's son's daughter) would mistake us for the flower boy and flower girl. A little far-fetched I know, but you get the drift.

Anyhow, I like this new phase in life.

At least I have something else to occupy myself with besides work and shopping (ugh..now I sound like I have no life!!!).

Oh well. Soon, I can occupy myself with household chores too. Cleaning the toilet, mopping the floor, making breakfast in the morning. Wow, I am so excited at the thought of doing all these things! (Yeah right).

But that's the price to pay for having quiet couple time and serenity in a house without parents. No, don't get me wrong, I love my parents.

I am just looking forward to the independence and freedom that I'll get. :)

This is probably the last year that I will be staying in the same house as my parents.

Time flies.
