Fashion: It's Prints Galore at MDS!
Monday, January 19, 2015
Minimalist chic is my cup of tea but there are occasions when I am more
adventurous, and that’s when prints and colours come out to play. Since Chinese
New Year is just around the corner, I figured it’s time to have fun with prints
and colours!
Here’s a piece of good news for you ladies. It's prints galore at MDSCollections! From floral for spring to tropical
for summer to brocade for fall and winter, there is a print for any mood you’re
in. Here are a few pieces I'm eyeing from the home-grown fashion label now:
1. Floral
There is never a time when floral print isn't relevant. A spring-ready
print like that brightens up any day and makes a statement on its own. Just
look at Miranda Kerr's ladylike ensemble.
Do you know what makes floral print even more feminine? A floral midi
skirt reminiscent of the 1950s like this one from MDS. Perfect with white pumps
and a crop top.
2. Tropical
Selena Gomez's sunny Dolce and Gabbana red carpet outfit had me sold on
tropical prints.
3. Brocade
I may not be a huge Selena Gomez fan, but she definitely hit the right
note with this Dolce and Gabbana outfit again. This time, she stands out from
the crowd in a luxurious brocade print dress:
4. Bird
I am OBSESSED with bird prints. Whimsical and adorable, bird motifs add a
girly touch to any outfit. Even VB looks sweet in this bird print dress.
This pair of bird print shorts from MDS Collections would go well with
ankle booties and a white blouse for a downtown look, a style that Rachel
Bilson would approve.
5. Graphic
Graphic prints are so bold and chic that they jazz up any neutral outfit
straight away. Look smart and strong a la Olivia Wilde in graphic prints!
This crop top from MDS comes with athletic details like a striped collar
and sleeves. Take on the sports luxe look with high waist flare pants and thin
strapped heels, or work the street look with cuffed jeans and sneakers.
